This day in 2021 I was reading two books:

On Audiobook: Claimed (Lair of the Wolven, #1) by JR Ward

I actually didn’t really care for this book, which was a huge disappointment because I’m a big BDB/JR Ward fan. I rated it 2 out of 5 stars on Goodreads.

In Physical: The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson

I went into this thinking it would be a spooky story but I didn’t find it very spooky at all. However, for being written in 1959, it was entertaining. I gave it 3 out of 5 stars on Goodreads.

Fast Forward To Today, I’m reading Ghost Story by Jim Butcher. I want to get this one finished by the end of the weekend.

Comparison Note

It looks like I’m still stuck on ghosts this year, which I attribute to it being Autumn and we’re headed full tilt into Halloween season! While Ghost Story isn’t necessarily about the spooky, it is about a ghost so that’s been fun. I think my reading choice today compared with last year is much better and way more entertaining and enjoyable.
