This day in 2021 the past, I was reading:
Physical: Dread Nation by Justina Ireland

I don’t read many historical fiction stories, but this one had ZOMBIES so how could I resist?? I really did love this book so much, the only thing I rated it down for was because I felt that it could have had more scenes of zombie fights, and deeper descriptions of the action. I rated it 4 out of 5 stars on Goodreads.
Physical: Midnight at the Barclay Hotel by Fleur T. Bradley

I loved just about everything about this little middle-grade paranormal mystery book. The hotel was inspired by The Stanley Hotel (the one that the Overlook Hotel in The Shining was based off) so that was a huge draw for me. There was a bit of ghost hunting, mystery solving, and fun to be had. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars on Goodreads.
Audiobook: Rhythm of War by Brandon Sanderson

This is one of my favorite books of all times. It’s got everything I could have hoped for in an epic fantasy. If you have not yet read this series, but you love rich fantasy and unique magic systems, then pick this up right away. The narrators are two of the best in the business and make the story and characters come alive (Kate Reading & Michael Kramer). I gave it 5 out of 5 stars on Goodreads.
Fast Forward To Today: I’m reading The Golden Enclaves by Naomi Novik. I’ve barely gotten started but I can see myself flying through this one over the upcoming weekend.

Comparison Note
Compared to last year, I’m not chugging through books as quickly (thanks to school) but I am sticking with the same general genre (fantasy).
