This week’s Book Blogger Hop prompt for Oct 14th – 20th is:

“Do you suggest new authors to your readers?”

Answer: Are we talking new-to-me authors or new debut authors?
I guess it doesn’t really matter because I will suggest any authors that I enjoy to my readers, simply because I enjoyed their work and I think others may as well. Just because someone is releasing their first novel and are considered a “new author” doesn’t mean they are an inexperienced author. A lot of writers spend years and years writing before they sell their first book and that’s a lot of experience. I don’t think any writer should be looked negatively upon just because they are a “new author”. I’ve even read debut novels that completely blew me away and showed writing skills far superior to popular authors who’d been writing for years.
