Welcome to WWW Wednesday! It was originally hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm but is now run by Taking On A World Of Words.
WWW Wednesday is simple, just answer 3 questions about reading:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
You can post a link to your blog on Taking On A World of Word’s blog post for the week so other readers can see what you’re working on, and check out your blog!
Since I’m not crushing tons of books at break neck speed due to school, I’ll only be posting WWW Wednesday when I have updates to share. Without further ado, lets get started.
What are you currently reading?
I ended up getting a Skip-The-Line-Loan at the library this week and it could not have come at a better time! While browsing “Halloween Season” books, The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling popped up as available for me! I’ve started listening to it on audiobook and so far it’s been enjoyable. For some reason, I thought it was going to be a gentler story but almost right off the bat I could tell it was meant for a more mature (and fun) audience, which I am totally down with! I cannot wait to really get into it this week.
I started picking at Dune by Frank Herbert again. I’m only at 11% but I really do love this book so far. The movie is one of my favorite rewatches so I’m excited to read this for the first time.
I’m also trying to squeeze in Hallowe’en Party by Agatha Christie before the 31st. We’ll see how that goes… It’s a pretty short book, so I have high hopes. Plus, I am a huge Hercule Poirot fan and usually consume his books quickly. It’s currently on sale on Kindle for $1.99 if you’re interested in picking it up.
What did you recently finish reading?
This week, I finished The Golden Enclaves by Naomi Novik. I had waited with enthusiasm for this book to come out, as I absolutely love the first two in the series, however, this one sort of left me feeling unfulfilled. The story was good, but it just felt a little off for me so I couldn’t give it a 5-star rating like I had thought I would. Check out my review of The Golden Enclaves here.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I have quite a few books going right now, and I estimate they’ll take me a few weeks to get through, but some library holds I’ve been waiting on are about to come up. Here’s a few that I will hopefully be starting during November:
- The Thursday Murder Club – By Richard Osman
- Ghost Story – By Jim Butcher (I’m 55% done)
- Mistborn – By Brandon Sanderson
- A Court of Thorns and Roses – By Sarah J. Maas
Well, that about wraps it up for WWW Wednesday. Thanks for stopping by!
