This day in 2020, I was reading:

Physical: Witch’s Oath– By Terry Goodkind

This was book #4 of the Children of D’hara novella series by Terry Goodkind. It ended up being one of his last works. I thought these books were an excellent way to end the Richard & Kahlan journey and I loved them to bits. This small series is a throwback to the original beginning of the Sword of Truth epic series, so if you loved the early books, then check these out to wrap up the ending of the tale. I rated it 5 out of 5 stars on Goodreads.

This day in 2021, I was reading:

Audiobook: Rhythm of War – By Brandon Sanderson

I love this series and book #4 of it totally exceeded my expectations. The intricate world building mixed with layers of character development just hits the spot so expertly. The ending of this one really got to me and I was super bummed to hear that Sanderson put book #5 on hold while he finishes up other projects because I don’t know how I will live without more of this story. I gave it 5 out of 5 stars on Goodreads.

Fast Forward To Today: I’m mainly reading (listening to) The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman.

Comparison Note

I was reading two books I was heavily invested in as they were part of series that I’d already feel in love with. Today, I’m mostly focusing on The Thursday Murder Club, which has been good, but not even close to the epic levels of authors like Goodkind and Sanderson.
