Welcome to Top 10 Tuesday! This week’s topic is Series I’d Like to Start/Catch up on/Finish. Oh fun, a topic where I can really show a glimpse into my shameful TBR! Just joking, sort of… This will be a fun list made up of a mix of in-progress and have-not-starteds. Special thanks to @ThatArtsyReaderGirl who hosts TTT. Let’s get to it!
Series I’d Like to Start/Catch up on/Finish

#1 The Wheel of Time
By: Robert Jordan
I have barely dipped my toes into the world of The Wheel of Time. I think I made it about 6 hours into the audiobook of Eye of the World. That was a couple years ago, so I’ll probably need to start over from the start when I get around to picking this one up again. Someday.

#2 The Nicci Chronicles
By: Terry Goodkind
I wanted to love The Nicci Chronicles so badly, but they really just felt like bad fanfic. Neither Nicci or Nathan keep true to their character and the story is derived so much from Goodkind’s own work that it sounds horribly like a fan rewriting all the best elements into something cheap and unfulfilling. I’ll eventually work through these but they are so hard to get through.

#3 The Dark Tower
By: Stephen King
I’m deep into the hate part of my long lasting love-hate relationship with Stephen King’s work. Some of my favorite books are written by King but I can only take his writing in spurts every couple years. I like to read to feel good, not feel whatever it is that King does to me in a weirdly magical but unsettling way.

#4 The Shadow & Bone Trilogy
By: Leigh Bardugo
I read Six of Crows & Crooked Kingdom first. Then, I watched the Netflix show. So, I feel like it would be best to wrap it all together by reading the original trilogy.

#5 One Punch Man
By: ONE & Yusuke Murata
Rumor is that season 3 is coming in 2024 (don’t quote me) but I cannot wait that long. I’ve been collecting the manga, but it’s surprisingly hard to get some of the volumes.

#6 The Dresden Files
By: Jim Butcher
I’ve been plugging away at The Dresden Files for a couple years now. The books are amazing and I just love Harry so much. I’ll be sad when it’s over so I plan to take my time and go slowly on the last 5ish books I’ve got left.

#7 Night’s Dawn Trilogy
By: Peter F. Hamilton
I read my first Hamilton book last year and loved it (Fallen Dragon). I would like to pick up Night’s Dawn Trilogy. I’m still new to hard sci-fi and space opera but I’ve liked what I’ve read so far.

#8 Mistborn Trilogy
By: Brandon Sanderson
Who can turn down a good heist book? Mistborn is on my short list of to-reads (mostly since my library hold is about ready). I hope it lives up to Sanderson’s other work but I’m going in cautious.

#9 The Salvation Sequence
By: Peter F. Hamilton
Another Hamilton series I want to get into.

#10 Dragonlance: The Chronicles & Legends series
By: Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman
I read Dragons of Autumn Twilight and loved it! The characters are so fun and I love that it’s just a D&D game made into a book. I am looking forward to seeing what adventures the gang has in the rest of the books.
Any other series you recommend? I’d love to get started in some I’ve never heard of!
