This day in 2020, I was reading:

Physical: Witch’s Oath– By Terry Goodkind

This was book #5 (the final) of the Children of D’hara novella series by Terry Goodkind. Probably the last book he ever published. I thought these books were an excellent way to end the Richard & Kahlan journey and I loved them to bits. This small series is a throwback to the original beginning of the Sword of Truth epic series, so if you loved the early books, then check these out to wrap up the ending of the tale. I rated it 5 out of 5 stars on Goodreads.

This day in 2021, I was reading:

Audiobook: Turn Coat – By Jim Butcher

Out of all the Dresden books, I think this one shattered me the worst. I felt so bad for Harry after this one. However, the light at the end was Butters showing up to play D&D with the wolf pack – such a great way to make a sad book have a special moment. I gave it 5 out of 5 stars on Goodreads.

Fast Forward To Today: I just picked up Nettle & Bone by T. Kingfisher, and started turning the pages on it last night!

Comparison Note

Both Into Darkness and Turn Coat were very emotional reads for me. I’m not sure if Nettle & Bone will affect me in a similar way since it’s a new story for me and I have no emotional attachments to any of the characters (yet). We’ll see! But overall, I’m still digging the fantasy genre!
