Welcome to November! Our theme this Friday is Books You’ve Read Through a Subscription or Membership. I don’t do a lot of book memberships or subscriptions besides Audible, Kindle Unlimited, and my local library system. I have dabbled in Owlcrate and Book of the Month, but I haven’t really received anything I could call a “favorite”. Here are some of my favorite borrowed books this year!

The Terror – by Dan Simmons

I read this one on Kindle. It is probably in the top 5 for the year.

What Moves the Dead – by T. Kingfisher

Read this one on Kindle. It was so much more than I expected. Great book, in the top 5 of the year for sure.

Empire of Silence – by Christopher Ruocchio

Discovered this one at the library and was blown away by it. It’s my favorite space opera (out of all 2 that I’ve read!).

The STEMinist Novellas – by Ali Hazelwood

Surprise find! I just love these novellas! It’s cool that they are women-in-STEM related!

An Ice Cold Grave – by Charlaine Harris

Listened to this on audiobook. It was a chilling mystery with a lot of good sleuthing.

Howl’s Moving Castle – by Diana Wynne Jones

I borrow this one from the library a few times per year. I just love it to pieces.
