This day in 2022, I was reading:

Audiobook: The Wise Man’s Fear– By Patrick Rothfuss

Book #2 in the Kingkiller Chronicles. It went to some weird places, but overall it was a pretty good follow up to how great The Name of the Wind was. It’s been 11 years since The Wise Man’s Fear released… when will we get book #3??
I rated it 4 out of 5 stars on Goodreads.

Fast Forward To Today: I’m still working on Network Effect by Martha Wells (book #5 of Murderbot) and I think I might have to pause it for a bit. Something changed between the novellas and this first novel and the feel of the story and Murderbot’s personality have changed. Today I’m also starting a new audiobook, but I haven’t decided which one yet! I will give a few a listen and see which sticks.

Comparison Note

It took me a long time to get through The Wise Man’s Fear and it looks like Network Effect is having the same kind of problem… Maybe I need to switch it up completely and read something totally different for a reset of sorts!
