Welcome to WWW Wednesday! It was originally hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm but is now run by Taking On A World Of Words.
WWW Wednesday is simple, just answer 3 questions about reading:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
You can post a link to your blog on Taking On A World of Word’s blog post for the week so other readers can see what you’re working on, and check out your blog!
What are you currently reading?
Audiobook:
I picked up A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin from the library. Sadly, I decided that I’m not in the mood for high fantasy this week, however, since it’s short I’m going to do my best to listen to it because everyone seems to recommend it. So far its been enjoyable, but I do catch my attention slipping from time to time.
I’m also on the look out for another couple audiobooks… and it’s taking a while to decide what to spend my Audible credits on. I’m picky about using them, probably for no real reason, so I’m having a hard time. I might just preorder a couple of auto-buys coming soon and take my indecision to the Libby app to search there. If you have any recommendations, please send them my way.
Physical:
Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo finally arrived! I’m about 20% of the way in and find myself wishing I could read more while I’m at work or studying.
I’ve put Island of the Lost by Joan Druett on hold for now. I’m roughly 30% through and so far there’s been way too many detailed descriptions of the seals on the island and how best to kill the seal newborns for what seems to me to be excessive amounts of food for their situation. I’ll come back to it later when I have a full day to get through the whole thing in one sitting.
Bedtime Audiobook:
Not currently listening while I go to sleep, but maybe tonight I’ll pick something back up.
What did you recently finish reading?
This week, I finished only one book:
Brief Cases by Jim Butcher – I adored most of the short stories in this one!
What do you think you’ll read next?
If I like Ninth House enough, I’ll immediately start Hell Bent next.
That’s all I’ve got for WWW Wednesday. Thanks for stopping by!
