Welcome to Top 10 Tuesday! This week’s topic is
Titles/Covers Featuring Animals!
I’m excited to share these choices with you all! There’s a bit of a mix in genres here and they are in no particular order. If you’ve read any of them, let me know!
Special thanks to @ThatArtsyReaderGirl who hosts TTT. Let’s get to it!
Books with Titles/Covers Featuring Animals
1 – Bird Box by Josh Malerman

Terrifying post-apocalyptic survival story where seeing can literally kill you.
2 – A House with Good Bones by T. Kingfisher

Cozy horror with Southern Gothic vibes.
3 – Definitely Dead by Charlaine Harris

#6 in the Sookie Stackhouse series. Features Quinn so it’s one of the best.
4 – The Serpent in Heaven by Charlaine Harris

#4 in the Gunnie Rose series. Little sister’s story.
5 – Moon Called by Patricia Briggs

#1 of the Mercy Thompson series. A shapeshifting mechanic finds trouble.
6 – What Moves the Dead by T. Kingfisher

Creepy retelling of The Fall of the House of Usher.
7 – Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Probably the greatest fantasy heist book ever written.
8 – The Once and Future King by TH White

My all-time most favorite fantasy story (that isn’t Harry Potter…)
9 – Minor Mage by T. Kingfisher

Cute, cozy story about a minor mage and his familiar.
10 – Song of the Lion by Anne Hillerman

Detective mystery set on the Navajo Nation.

What Moves the Dead made my list this week, too! Kingfisher’s covers usually feature animals in some way!

As many times as I’ve seen the cover for A House with Good Bones, I never noticed the giant bird on the cover lmao. It might be time for me to make an appointment with my optometrist.
