This day in 2022, I was reading:

Audiobook: Arcana Rising by Kresley Cole

Book #4 in the Arcana Chronicles series. We’re fully into a post-apocalyptic world where the game to the death is in full swing. I have a love-hate relationship with this series because Evie (the FMC) is SO STUPID all the time and I can’t even understand why TWO guys are fighting over her. She’s trash. I think Jack and Aric should just go off without Evie. They’d make a better couple and their relationship would be so much less toxic.
I rated it 4 out of 5 stars on Goodreads.

Fast Forward To Today:
I picked up The Frugal Wizard’s Handbook for Surviving Medieval England by Brandon Sanderson. In addition to having an unnecessarily long title (thank Brandon), this story has all the wonderful excitement, adventure, and humor that one can expect from a great Sanderson story. This one will go by quickly, I can already tell!

Comparison Note

I really try to avoid YA books today, with a few exceptions. I’m also currently trying to keep my TBR to new releases only and what I was reading in 2022 was filled with my old-release-backlog.
