Anticipated Releases This Week – 4/25/23

Tuesdays are one of my favorite days of the week — It’s NEW RELEASE day!
One of my reading goals for 2023 is to read every new release that I’ve been anticipating in the year it was released, with the exception being December releases since that’s a super busy holiday-events month. So far, I’ve been doing a great job keeping up!

Most of the new release that I’ve got on my TBR are from authors I’m familiar with but I’ve promised myself that I’d branch out this year and try more new authors and debut novels. It’s been a lot of fun thus far and I cannot wait to see what else I discover & love!

Here are the New Releases I’m picking up this week!

Ascension by Nicholas Binge

I’ll be picking this one up on audiobook. It’s narrated by Peter Kenny and I loved his reading of The Witcher series. I think he will do a fantastic job on this suspenseful speculative thriller and I cannot wait to get my ears on it!

Synopsis:

The Way of the Bear by Anne Hillerman

When Anne took over writing her dad’s stories, I fell completely in love with her style and the strong female character Manuelito. It’s a beautiful series and I enjoy reading about the Navajo Nation mysteries.

Synopsis:
An unexpected death on a lonely road outside of Utah’s Bears Ears National Park raises questions for Navajo Tribal Police officers Jim Chee and Bernadette Manuelito. Why would a seasoned outdoorsman and well-known paleontologist freeze to death within walking distance of his car? A second death brings more turmoil. For You and Only You by Caroline Kepnes

I can’t even explain why but I find this series to be captivating. I don’t even particularly like Joe or the people he surrounds himself with but it’s like this trainwreck I can’t look away from. I have not yet watched the Netflix series, but I might after I finish this one.

Synopsis:
Joe Goldberg is ready for a change. Instead of selling books, he’s writing them. And he’s off to a good start. Glenn Shoddy, an acclaimed literary author, recognizes Joe’s genius and invites him to join a tight-knit writing fellowship at Harvard.
