What are you currently reading?

Audiobook:
I’m working on The Law by Jim Butcher. It’s the novella that comes after Battle Ground. It’s an interesting story made all the more impressive because it’s Jim’s first real attempt at creating an audiobook himself. Jim isn’t James Marsters but he is a phenomenal voice actor himself. It took a little bit to adjust to Harry sounding different but I settled in quickly with it. The story itself is top notch Butcher and I’m learning all kinds of new tidbits about some long time characters.

Physical:
I’m currently not settled into any specific story right now. I’ve had a hard time finding what I want to read next so I’m testing out a few samples on Kindle. Mostly, I don’t want to pick up anything too thick or too heavy but that seems to be everything in my released-TBR. I’m going to poke at some books casually until I find something that hooks me.

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished 4 last week:
Battle Ground by Jim Butcher – Thought I’d cry but I did not.
Forever by JR Ward – Not great.
Hell Bent by Leigh Bardugo – Great but not the bunny stuff.
Malorie by Josh Malerman – Great sequel!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I have a whole list of books to read but am going to go on a partial-hiatus from regular blogging and speedy reading for the next 5 weeks. I want to get some stuff done for school and work on a few other personal growth things. I’ll be posting less frequently throughout the week, but I will post reviews as I finish any books and I’ll do WWW posts if I have anything new to share.

If I find I’m too bored on break though, I’ll jump back in 🙂
