What are you currently reading?

Still chipping away at Arthas by Christie Golden. It’s become sort of slow, but I’m hoping to break through that this weekend.

On audiobook this week, I started A Court of Thorns & Roses. I have been putting this one off for a while now because I’m taking a break from YA books, but the long, long hold came up at the library, so I figured now was the time. I made it through 5 hours on the first day! It’s pretty interesting so far and enemies-to-lovers is my favorite romance trope.

What did you recently finish reading?

This week, I finished Dead Man’s Hand by James J. Butcher. I loved this one! The characters were great, the magical elements were fun (especially the familiars). Check out my review of Dead Man’s Hand here.

I also finished The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sengu Mandanna. This book didn’t agree with me, but it wasn’t a bad book. It was very well written, just not my type of writing. Check out my review of The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches here.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I might take a break from Arthas and pick up Artificial Condition (Murderbot #2) by Martha Wells. It’s a short book and could be a nice change of pace.

After I finish Arthas completely, I think I will pick up Dune (to continue reading it) or Fairy Tale. We’ll see how the rest of the month goes!
